College keeps me away from my horse :(

It has been quite a big deal for me to be away from Sy for this long! I moved into college about a month ago, so I'm now two hours away from my barn and my home. I have only been able to go see Sy once since I've been here, which is completely terrible! Luckily, I am at a fantastic barn now and I know that he is getting amazing care while I am away! I have a friend, an incredible rider, riding him a few times a week for me. She tells me that he is being so good for her, and that she loves riding him, so I am at least content that he is happy and well cared for- even if not by me. I am going home again next weekend, and I am so very excited to ride him for the first time in over a month! I absolutely can't wait.. it should be the highlight of my weekend! :)

Hectic, crazy life!

It has been forever since I last wrote anything, as life has been so crazy! So many things have happened since my last post, and it may take a while to update you on everything! Since then, I have graduated college, moved barns, started taking regular lessons again, and started college. Unfortunately, I am in college three hours away from home.. meaning three hours away from Sy and my barn. I spent about four months riding at my new barn before I left for school, and I absolutely love it there! The people are so welcoming to me, and Sy's care is top notch, just what I have been searching for forever! I am much more comfortable being so far away from him knowing that he is getting amazing care! Another rider at my barn is exercising Sy for me while I am gone, and I know he is in great hands, as she is a fantastic rider! She has told me several times that he is doing very well for her, and that she spoils him rotten! I am so glad that he has someone to love on him when I'm not able to! I am beyond happy with my new stable, and I can't wait until I can make it back to be with him again! I am hoping to go home one or two times a month, so I should still be able to see him every once in a while. Sy is now on a much more stable(no pun intended!) exercise routine with his new rider, which will be so good for him and for his health. I am really excited to see how this changes him, as he has needed more frequent exercise for a while, I just have been incapable of providing it while I'm in school. I have been told that I should be coming home to a completely new horse! He should be getting back into shape, and I'm hoping to retry shows with him next spring and summer, as I haven't shown him since my very first summer with him! So I foresee some exciting new things in the future for Sy and me! I definitely hope to keep this blog up to date with how things are going, but my track record isn't so great thus far! Until next time! :)
